Ani ng Sining Art Exhibit Opens at One Workshop Gallery

Following its hugely successful run at the 2009 Philippine International Visual Arts Festival (PIVAF`09) in February, the PIVAF `09 art exhibition is moving from Robinson's Midtown and Forum to the One Workshop Gallery in Pasong Tamo, Makati. Carrying the National Arts Month theme of Ani ng Sining as celebrated by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the exhibit showcases masterworks by the cream of the national art scene. Painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, digital art and other visual arts disciplines are represented at the exhibit, which opens on Monday, March 30, 2009.

The exhibiting artists are A.C. PIVAF `09 is the flagship project of the NCCA's National Committee for Visual Arts (NCVA), and was one of the highlights of this year’s Philippine International Arts Festival (PIAF). The NCCA has held the PIAF since the inception of the National Arts Month in 1991. The NCCA provides funding and support for Filipino artist groups and organizations taking part in the PIAF which is held in various locations nationwide.

The PIVAF `09 exhibit at the One Workshop Gallery runs until April 13, 2009.
